The executive director of the Helena Business Improvement District has resigned, telling members he has accepted a job managing energy efficiency programs, resuming a prior career path.

“Together with the board, we’ve made significant progress in our beautification, promotion, and advocacy work,” he said in the email.

April 3 will be his last day. He said Monday he had been the BID’s executive director for 15 months. He had worked as operations manager for Helena Food Share and for an energy services company.

“It’s an exciting time for downtown Helena. Downtown is becoming more vibrant and prosperous, year by year. With the upcoming addition of the new Montana Historical Society Museum, we have the opportunity to better connect with the Capitol area and bring thousands of new visitors downtown,” he stated.
