Gordon Announces He Will Not Seek Third Term

Mark Gordon announced he will not seek a third term as Wyoming governor, confirming his current term will be his last in office.

Gordon recently met with his cabinet to outline priorities for the remainder of his administration, focusing on strengthening Wyoming’s economy, supporting key industries, protecting natural resources, and investing in local communities and families.

The governor said his administration plans to finish strong after what he described as a successful legislative session that included passage of the state’s Essentials Budget.

Beginning in June, Gordon is expected to travel across Wyoming for a series of community visits that will continue through the fall. Planned stops include downtown tours, public forums, and other events designed to hear directly from residents.

Ahead of Wyoming’s Aug. 18 primary election, Gordon said he hopes to encourage civic participation and discuss issues affecting the state’s future, including property tax policy, local control, public services, savings, and stewardship of land, water, and wildlife.

He said public engagement remains important and noted that Wyoming citizens can make a meaningful difference through participation in elections and community discussions.

Gordon said he will continue working with lawmakers, local leaders, and residents through the end of his administration to keep Wyoming strong and prepared for the future.
