Veteran nominations open for Missoulian’s Stories of Honor

Veterans and active-duty military members are all around us. As many as 90,000 veterans live in Montana, nearly 10% of our population.

Sometimes, you can tell who they are just by looking, the hat naming the ship or aircraft they served on, the red and gold satin jacket, the wings or the star on the bumper sticker. Sometimes you can tell just by their demeanor.

What they’ve done for us, both during their time in the service and after, is incalculable.

We at the Missoulian want to do more than say thank you. We want to share their stories of honor with everyone who will listen, to recognize their contribution no matter how far or how close it was to home.

If you know of someone whose story needs to be told, let us know. All active service members and all veterans from all branches and all types of duties are welcome.
