MDT hosts final Bell Crossing roundabout open house
The Montana Department of Transportation hosted its third and final open house for the Bell Crossing Roundabout Project on Thursday, Aug. 29.
The Bell Crossing Roundabout Project has been a popular piece of public discussion since its first open house in late July. The project, which aims to develop and install a two-lane roundabout at the intersection of U.S. Highway 93 and Bell Crossing, has received significant pushback from community members who see the project as too costly and unnecessary.
The informational event ran from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Stevensville High School library and communicated project particulars to county residents with infographics and an animated simulator. A number of Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) representatives, ranging from project engineers to department administrators, were also present to answer any questions visitors had.
