Jeff Wadekamper, airport director, said the project is being paid for by federal funds from the American Rescue Plan Act. He said the current roof is nearly 20 years old and the work would not impact daily operations or flights at the airport.

He said the roof would be replaced on the older section of the terminal building and they are also replacing the heating, ventilation and air-conditioning units on the original portion of the building.

Wadekamper said the work started this week, will be done in phases, and should be completed by July.
