Former Heart Butte School employee accused of sexually assaulting a student

A former Heart Butte School employee has been arrested on allegations he sexually assaulted a 13-year-old student during a trip to Missoula in 2022.

Patrick Calfbossribs Jr., 50, has been charged in Missoula District Court with one count of sexual assault involving a minor and one count of sexual abuse of children under 16 — both felonies.

Charges filed in August by Deputy Missoula County Attorney Brielle Lande allege that Calfbossribs inappropriately touched the boy during a trip to attend a school track meet in October 2022. The survivor told investigators that he had slept in the same hotel room as Calfbossribs, and woke up in the morning to the man touching him.

He described feeling “disgusted” and too scared to initially say anything, according to the charges. The boy later confided to a sibling what had happened, prosecutors state, and the sibling helped him report it to school officials.
