East Helena fireworks celebration sparks fun, lights up the sky

Hundreds gathered late Thursday for the Prickly Pear Community Fireworks Celebration at the slag pile in East Helena.

The annual July 4 celebration was hosted by Shellie’s Country Cafe and the Montana Radio Co. It is sponsored by Town Pump Helena Insulation, BCBS of MT, Eagles 4040, Tri-County Disposal and VFW Post #10010.

The streets were packed in East Helena for the annual Fourth of July fireworks show in Thursday night. Rose Brown plays with a sparkler before the fireworks show.
