Pregnant mom launches GoFundMe after truck fire in Walmart parking lot

Townsend resident and mom Elizabeth Saretsky launched a GoFundMe fundraiser for a new family car after her previous vehicle caught fire Monday afternoon.

Saretsky is a pregnant mother of three children, a fourth on the way, according to the fundraiser biography.

“I am searching for a family/commuter car,” she wrote. “I work nights in order to be home with the kids but times are hard and I wasn’t expecting an expense like this. I appreciate anyone who has taken the time to read this and show their support.”

Ten hours after it launched Wednesday morning, the fundraiser collected $500, with seven donations ranging from $10-$300.

Her truck ignited surrounded by other vehicles, but no one was hurt, previous news accounts said.
