Jim Riley Launches Republican Campaign for House District 6

Entrepreneur and community leader Jim Riley has announced his candidacy for Montana House District 6, entering the race as the Republican nominee with a platform focused on economic growth, education, public safety, and accountable government.

Riley said his campaign will prioritize policies aimed at job creation, support for small businesses, and reducing the tax burden on working families. He also emphasized responsible fiscal management and initiatives designed to attract new investment to the district.

“I’m running for House District 6 because I believe our community deserves a representative who understands our values and is committed to fighting for our best interests,” Riley said in a statement. “Montana is where I’ve chosen to raise my family and build my businesses, and I am ready to bring my dedication, work ethic, and common-sense approach to the state legislature.”

Education is a central component of Riley’s platform. He has pledged to support teachers, encourage innovation in classrooms, and promote parental involvement to ensure students are prepared for success in the modern economy. Riley previously served on a Montana school board from 2021 to 2023.

Riley also highlighted public safety as a key issue, saying he would work to support law enforcement, address the root causes of crime, and promote safe neighborhoods. In addition, his campaign emphasizes preserving Montana’s outdoor heritage and traditional values, including continued access to public lands.

On natural resources, Riley said he supports responsible development that strengthens the local economy while protecting the environment. He has also committed to pushing for transparency and accountability in government, with an emphasis on ensuring taxpayer dollars are spent efficiently.

Riley brings a background in business and real estate to the race. He is a licensed realtor and a member of the National Association of REALTORS®, and has worked to help families achieve homeownership. He is also the author of Live Life Driven, a book focused on leadership and personal development.

Montana Sen. John Fuller endorsed Riley’s campaign, praising his values and approach to public service.
