A July 23 memo to commissioners from county engineer Daniel Karlin and Jenny Chambers, public works director, states the project will encompass the entire intersection and accommodate future fairgrounds growth.

They said this project is in cooperation with the Lewis and Clark County Fairgrounds and uses American Rescue Plan Act grant funds for the work.

Sanderson Stewart will complete the design, which will include general project management, site survey, drainage assessment and recommendations, geotechnical recommendations, conceptual intersection design, 30% intersection design, final design, and environmental permitting assistance, according to the memo.
