Climate Courage: Tester Votes “Present” on Green New Deal

They voted present. Ahh yes, the chronicles of climate courage. But let’s talk about what really happened here: a senator from the coal state of Montana refused to vote against the Green New Deal in the United States Senate.

That’s right, Senator Jon Tester (D-MT) once again joined with his fellow Senate liberals and refused to vote against the Green New Deal, as Fox News reports:

The Green New Deal, a sweeping Democratic proposal for dealing with climate change, fell at the first hurdle Tuesday as the Senate failed to reach the 60 votes necessary to begin debate on the non-binding resolution, with 42 Democrats and Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., voting “present.”
