Attorney General Knudsen is leading the fight against fentanyl
Austin Knudsen’s leadership as Attorney General has been crucial in tackling the fentanyl crisis in Montana. He has prioritized this urgent issue by increasing the number of narcotics agents and enhancing interagency collaboration statewide. His initiatives have led to the deployment of more drug-detecting K9s, equipping law enforcement agencies to better target fentanyl traffickers.
Knudsen has also championed stronger penalties for fentanyl distribution, advocating for mandatory minimum sentences and up to 100 years in prison for those whose actions result in death. His efforts to provide opioid overdose reversal kits in schools, alongside educational initiatives about the dangers of fentanyl, reflect his commitment to both prevention and enforcement. By partnering with local and national health experts, he has ensured that Montana has access to vital resources to prevent tragic overdoses. His focus on securing our southern border against the influx of dangerous drugs highlights his comprehensive strategy to address this crisis.
Montana needs Austin Knudsen’s ongoing leadership in the fight against fentanyl. I wholeheartedly endorse his reelection.
