Trump pushes payroll tax cut, but Dems and some in GOP remain skeptical
WASHINGTON (Sinclair Broadcast Group) — President Donald Trump said this week he will not accept another coronavirus relief package that does not include a payroll tax cut, but economists and even some White House allies are skeptical putting more money in paychecks at a time when tens of millions have lost their jobs is the best approach to stabilizing the economy.
“We’re not doing anything without a payroll tax cut,” Trump said at a Fox News virtual town hall Sunday.
