Study finds many barriers to justice system access in Wyoming

The highest legal needs in Wyoming are family law, medical debt and housing issues – and the coronavirus pandemic has the potential to create an even greater need in each area for Wyoming’s low-income population.

Equal Justice Wyoming, the Equal Justice Wyoming Foundation and Legal Aid of Wyoming recently partnered to conduct and fund a comprehensive statewide civil legal needs assessment to understand the legal issues facing Wyoming’s low-income population. The findings of the needs assessment were published in August, and presented in several online formats this fall.
