Senator Steve Daines Applauds President Trump’s Pardon of Pro-Life Protesters
U.S. Senator Steve Daines praised former President Donald Trump after he issued pardons for 23 pro-life protesters who had been incarcerated under President Joe Biden’s administration.
In a statement released today, Daines expressed his approval of the pardons, describing them as a long-overdue act of justice.
“Finally, justice is served,” Daines said. “Under President Biden’s Justice Department, these peaceful protesters were singled out because they dared to stand up for the unborn. Within days of taking office, President Trump righted this wrong. It’s great to have a pro-life president back in the White House.”
The protesters had been convicted under federal law for their demonstrations at abortion clinics, drawing criticism from conservative lawmakers and pro-life advocates who argued their actions were peaceful.
