Proposed Bill Would Require Majority Vote to Add New Wyoming Taxes
CHEYENNE — A bill being brought forth to the Wyoming Legislature would amend the Wyoming Constitution, requiring electors’ consent prior to imposing taxes.
The bill, which is sponsored by District 13 Senator Tom James, (R-Rock Springs), is seeking a Wyoming Constitutional amendment to Senate Joint Resolution SJ0001. Those co-sponsoring the bill are Senators Bo Biteman, Anthony Bouchard, Tim French and Troy McKeown, and Representatives Bill Fortner, Chuck Gray, Dan Laursen, Rachel Rodriguez-Williams, and Robert Wharff.
