North Dakota Indian Affairs director reinstated after misconduct investigation
BISMARCK — Scott Davis was reinstated as North Dakota’s Indian Affairs Commission executive director Friday, Nov. 6, after an investigation into a “personal relationship” with another state employee found he did not “misuse his position of authority.”
On Oct. 16, Davis was placed on administrative leave with pay pending allegations of misconduct. New details emerged in a release Friday, as the state announced that the Human Resource Management division was investigating whether Davis abused “his position of authority” when he engaged in a “personal relationship” with a state employee from a different agency. The investigation resulted in a recommendation of no disciplinary action.
