City of Missoula signs on to green tariff agreement
MISSOULA, Mont. — The Missoula City Council agreed to sign the city on to an interlocal agreement with Missoula County, Bozeman and Helena to hire a green tariff consultant.
A green tariff is a rate, not a tax, offered to people who want to opt into receiving 100% clean, renewable energy. The consultant will help leaders understand how to develop a green tariff that meets the cities’ energy goals, which include 100% clean energy by 2030.
