Attorney General Labrador Announces New Leadership Appointments

Idaho Attorney General Raúl Labrador has announced two key leadership changes within his office, promoting Dan Estes to Director of Consumer Protection and appointing Damon Sidur as Communications Director.
Dan Estes, who has served as the Public Information Officer since November 2023, will now lead the Office of Consumer Protection. During his tenure as the office’s chief spokesperson, Estes played a central role in managing media relations, increasing public awareness of the office’s legal work, and enhancing outreach initiatives statewide.
In his new role, Estes will oversee a team of analysts dedicated to investigating and addressing consumer issues, while also coordinating public education efforts and collaborating closely with the Attorney General on community engagement.
“Dan has been an outstanding Public Information Officer, ensuring Idahoans are informed about the important work our office is doing on their behalf,” said Attorney General Labrador. “His dedication and skill for serving the people of Idaho have made a real difference. Dan’s commitment to consumer protection and keeping Idahoans informed makes him the right choice for this role.”
In addition, Labrador named Damon Sidur as the new Communications Director. Sidur brings a wealth of experience from Capitol Hill, where he most recently served as Communications Director for U.S. Representatives Michael Cloud (R-TX) and Cliff Bentz (R-OR). His prior roles include Digital Media Director for Congressman Bob Good (R-VA) and Deputy Communications Director for the Colorado House Republican Caucus. He holds a degree from Colorado Christian University.
“Damon is a talented, strong conservative communicator who will lead our efforts to ensure Idahoans hear directly about the work we’re doing to defend their rights, freedoms, and way of life,” Labrador said. “I’m excited to have him on the team.”
The appointments reflect Labrador’s continued focus on transparency, public engagement, and strengthening protections for Idaho consumers.
