Kalispell also hit a new record for October 13th, with a low temp of 13, breaking the previous record of 16, set in 2002. Comments on Erin’s post ranged from disappointment in lost flowers to locals laughing about the possible thinning out of “newbies” after experiencing the icy temps. It happens every year, but I think it was particularly harsh this year since it was just a few weeks ago that we were experiencing record high temperatures in Missoula.
