West Broadway Island Park reopened to the public with limited hours

West Broadway Island reopened to the public Wednesday morning after two months of restoration work. The city Parks and Recreation Department worked to remove human waste and certain plants and to repair damage from camping.

A bird sits perched on a branch at West Broadway Island. City workers found and removed needles, human waste and invasive weeds.

A bike channel has been added to the east stairway, allowing bicyclists to pedal through the park on the main trail.
