Veterans, volunteers salvage fish in Ninemile Creek

Reuban Frey, left, and Ladd Knotek, both with Montana Department of Fish, Wildlife & Parks, lead a group of volunteers and veterans in removing fish from Ninemile Creek and releasing them downriver.

A portion of Ninemile Creek that has been restored upstream. After fish are safely removed, crews with Trout Unlimited de-water the creekbed for reconstruction and sediment reduction.
