Veterans Day events planned for the Helena area

Events are planned in the Helena area on Saturday to honor Veterans Day.
Volunteers will place American flags sponsored by American Legion Post 2 on various avenues throughout Helena and at the state Capitol.American Legion Post 2, at 3095 Villard Ave., will serve its annual Veterans Day breakfast from 7-10 a.m. Veterans and their families along with active and National Guard and Reserve military personnel and their families are welcome.A Veterans Tailgate at the Carroll College game from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.East Helena will have its annual Veterans Day parade from the VFW Post 10010 at the home to East Helena starting at 11 a.m., with lunch to follow.The Lewis & Clark County Veterans Memorial Foundation will have a program at 3 p.m. at the Lewis & Clark Veterans Memorial in Helena’s Memorial Park, 1203 N Last Chance Gulch. In addition the foundation will rededicate the memorial that has been refurbished through the effort of the citizens of Helena and Lewis and Clark County. If adverse weather occurs, the ceremony will move to American Legion Post 2 3095 Villard Ave. Jerry D. Sept, chief warrant officer 5, retired, will speak about the commemoration of the Vietnam War.At 5 p.m. the
