UND volleyball coach Jeremiah Tiffin placed on administrative leave

“Upon learning of some potential issues within the program, we felt that a review of these issues be conducted immediately,” UND athletic director Bill Chaves said in a statement Wednesday night.

Assistant coaches Erin Green and Steve Rindfleisch will serve as co-interim coaches during this period of time, the school said.

UND is off to a 1-19 start this season and 0-8 in the Summit League. Last season, the Fighting Hawks went 2-16.

Tiffin, in his third year as head coach, has another year left on his initial contract, which began May 31, 2019 and ends Dec. 31, 2022.

His base salary is $90,000. His contract also has incentives such as winning the conference tournament ($2,000) or winning the league’s coach of the year honor ($2,000).

Tiffin came to UND as an associate head coach and recruiting coordinator in December 2018. Just a few months later, head coach Mark Pryor resigned and accepted a job at an NCAA Division-III program in Texas.
