Superior man killed in I-90 crash near Alberton

A Thursday morning wreck on I-90 killed one Superior man and injured a woman, according to Montana Highway Patrol.

At about 10:25 a.m., a Chevy Trailblazer was headed east on the interstate, according to highway patrol’s crash report. The Chevy hit a guardrail near Alberton, kept going, crossed the road and collided with the guardrail on the opposite side.

It traveled back across traffic and rested on an off-ramp. The passenger, 64, was dead when first responders arrived, according to the crash report.

The driver, a 61-year-old woman, also from Superior, was injured and brought to Providence St. Patrick Hospital for medical care. Neither person was wearing a seat belt, according to the report. Alcohol and speed were not listed as suspected factors.

Officials haven’t identified the man yet.
