Just so everyone knows, I did not make up the title to this missive. As you can see, it comes from Sir Winston Churchill, a man certainly known for his bluntness, and truth. Churchill also referred to socialism–an economic model based upon redistribution of wealth, nationalization of economic production, creation and expansion of a welfare dependency society, social egalitarianism, and secular humanism–as a philosophy of failure.
Those who have adopted the socialist economic model have experienced gross failure. We can examine and assess the fall from grace of one of the most prosperous nations in the western hemisphere, Venezuela. In a short period of time the government of socialist Hugo Chavez took control of Venezuela’s energy sector and other industries and redistributed the wealth of citizens.
