Helena police responded to a call 5:44 p.m. Thursday in the 1500 block of Cannon for a report of gunshots, Assistant Chief Cory Bailey said in an email.

While officers were checking the area, they received another call advising that someone had shot the front entry of the business. It was determined that someone had walked up to the front of the Planned Parenthood and fired two rounds from a shotgun, Bailey said.

There were no injuries reported and the shots were not directed toward anyone, authorities said.
