North Dakota falls at Cal Baptists; North Dakota State upended at Montana State

Hawks fall at Cal Baptist: California Baptist broke open a close game at halftime and rolled to an 89-71 win over North Dakota on Tuesday.

UND dropped to 3-7.

Paul Bruns led UND with 19 points while Mitchell Sueker added 13and Bentiu Panoam 12. The Hawks trailed 40-34 at the half but a 19-6 run by Cal Baptist, a member of the Western Athletic Conference, in the second half put the game away. Cal Baptist improved to 7-1.

UND shot 43 percent to Cal Baptist’s 58 percent. The Lancers also had 17 second-chance points.

UND will play Eastern Washington at The Betty on Saturday afternoon in its next game.
