Nondiscrimination ordinance up for last vote

The Town Council will make its final review Monday of a ban on discrimination based on a person’s sexual orientation or gender identity.

Council members unanimously supported the nondiscrimination ordinance in its first two readings over the past month. If they approve it again Monday night, it will become law, prohibiting unequal treatment of LGBTQ people in matters of housing, employment or public accommodation.

Both of the ban’s previous readings have drawn crowds of supporters and opponents, many from the farthest reaches of Wyoming.
