The sixth annual Montana Professional Artist Association Invitational Art Show & Sale will be held in the Commercial Building of the Missoula County Fairgrounds on Sept. 8, 9 and 10.

“Everybody is excited to be at the fairgrounds,” said organizer Michele Kapor. “I think it will be very upbeat.”

The event has free admission, free parking and fabulous art including paintings, bronzes, pastels, wood carving and photography, that span in style from realism to expressionism.

Each artist will have their own booth in the Commercial Building. A percentage of the artists’ sales plus all proceeds from the silent auction will be donated to the Humane Society of Western Montana.

There will be food trucks in the plaza every day.

The MPAA Invitational Art Show & Sale begins on Friday, Sept. 8, from noon to 9 p.m. and at 5 p.m. has a reception where guests can meet the artists and there is a no-host bar. The Rhinoceros Bar will sell beverages with distinct unique cocktails named for pets.

“Like a ‘Rover Rum and Coke’ or a ‘Maltese Martini,’” Kapor said. “It will be fun.”
