Forest Service plans to burn 400 acres near Nelson on Wednesday

Helena-Lewis and Clark National Forest officials said Tuesday they will burn nearly 400 acres of “broadcast burning” near Nelson on Wednesday, if conditions allow.

They said the burning will be in the Bridge Gulch area, northeast of Helena and that smoke may be visible from Helena valley.
