'Extraction': Art considers effects of industry


The Missoula Art Museum is exhibiting several shows related to extractive industries, including “The Space of Hope: A Collective Response.” In the center is William Carson’s “Coal Sound Sculpture,” and behind Cristina Marian’s mural, “The Turning World.”

The collective art movement “Extraction” exhibitions are being showcased throughout the Missoula Art Museum and across the nation this summer.
