Gillian Thornton, co-owner of Thunder Road Farm, examines rows of raspberries and blackberries planted on her land in Arlee.

Thornton and Andrews have a conservation easement on their 150-acre property, where they’ve decided to grow native plants and graze cattle.

Cattle graze at Thunder Road Farm on Tuesday. “In addition to wanting to produce really good quality food for people and make it accessible to people, we want to have that community aspect ingrained in,” Thornton said.
