3 Helena groups awarded $225,000 from Otto Bremer Trust

Three Helena-based organizations have received grants totaling $225,000 from the Otto Bremer Trust and were among $17,398,410 in grants and program-related investments in August and September.
The Montana Nonprofit Association will receive $125,000 to provide technical assistance and build capacity for nonprofits in Montana.
The Friendship Center of Helena Inc. will receive $50,000 for general operations to provide services to those affected by domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking and to empower relationships free from violence in the community.
And the YWCA will get $50,000 for general operations to provide safe, stable housing and supportive services to women, children and families experiencing homelessness, substance abuse, mental health challenges and poverty in the Helena area.
The Otto Bremer Trust is a private charitable trust based in St. Paul, Minnesota. Created in 1944 by business and community leader Otto Bremer, it is committed to supporting a better quality of life for residents of Minnesota, Montana, North Dakota and Wisconsin.
